Oiler Baseball travel to Whittier H.S

After starting the season with a record of 1-1-1. The Oilers are set to travel to Whittier High School to take on the Whittier Cardinals. In the season opener the Oilers battled and clawed to a 1-1 tie with San Gabriel Valley powerhouse South Hills. The Oilers were lead by the strong pitching of Ryan Orozco who pitched 8 innings and only gave up one run. After a dissapointing loss to Rancho Cucamonga H.S. the Oilers rebounded with a come from behind victory against Arroyo H.S. After trailing 3-0. The Oilers scored 3 runs in the 6th and the winning run in the bottom of the 7th. The Oilers were lead by the consistent hitting of Adam Rubio (3-3) and Gio Islas (2-3).
