Boys’ Volleyball start 2-0 in league.

MHS Boys Varsity Volleyball Team goes 2-0 in the first week of Almont League competition. The Oilers played The Almont League defending champion Bell Gardens in a tough 5 game match. 13-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11. Captain Jacoub Rios had a team high 18 kills to make him player of the game.

The Oilers then traveled to Schurr HS on Thursday to compete against a tough scrappy Spartan squad. After a tight 1st game going 27-25, the Oilers got on a roll to win the 2nd game 25-18. In the third game the Oilers took the lead early and never trailed, but the Spartans came back but couldn’t finish. The Oilers would win the 3rd and final game 25-21. The Oilers played like a team offensively and defensively. The whole team would be players of the match.
