Andres Navarro Advances to CIF

Andres Navarro (Sophomore) shot an impressive 71 at the League Finals at Montebello Golf Course to finish 2nd. He advance to the CIF Tournament on Monday at Skylinks in Lon Beach.  Good Luck Andres!

Golfer advances

Golfer Andres Navarro qualified to play in the CIF Individual Regional on Monday May 8, 2017. Out of 25 best golfers of the San Gabriel Valley League, Andres was 2nd best after playing 3 rounds. He missed being the number one golfer by 2 strokes.222 to 224.

Get Ready for Girls Golf

Our very first Girls Golf Program will begin in May 2017. Any Girls interested should contact Coach Yoshitake cell # 323-680-8572. Golf Clubs and other equipment will be provided. Our practices will meet on campus for the first month. Later on, we will go to the Montebello Golf Course for more lessons.

Rough Year so far

Our Golf Team is having a rough year. All the matches been close but just not quite enough. We had one of our “Best Shot of the Year” on Wednesday when Sophomore Richard Placencia recorded a memorable HOLE-IN-ONE. League Matches Begins

We lost our first league match at Rio Honda GC to Warren High by 29 strokes. The highlight of the day was when our 10th grader, Andres Navarro turn in a score of even Par 36 to earn Medalist Honors. The Team is working very hard to get our numbers lower. The next match will

vs El Rancho

If we had the right pairings we could have won. Sad to say the Coach made the wrong pairings. Anyway we lost to El Rancho 235 to 253 at Whittier Narrows GC. Once again, Andres Navarro was the medalist for the day with another 38. We play the next two days with Schurr and Sonora

New Girls Golf Program

We are looking for 9th,10th and 11th grade Girls interested in learning and participating the sport of Golf. We will provide equipment and bus transportation to and from the golf course. There will be 2 signups days. Fridays¬¬, March 17 and 24, 2017 after school in front of the cafeteria. Instructions will begin in May.

Golf Team Wins

Playing the long and narrow fairways of the California Country Club Course, our team came away with a victory over Pioneer High with a score of 274 to 324. Playing exceptionally well were Andres Navarro 38 and Richard Placencia 45. Other members of the team improved 2 to 5 strokes each. Our next match is

Golf starts 2017 Season

Start of the season was wet and muddy. We played Sonora at La Mirada GC and lost by 33 strokes. However the best score of the match was turned in by an Oiler, Andres Navarro who came in with a 38. The 2nd best for our team was a 44 turn in by Richi Placencia.

Freshman Andres Navarro advances to CIF

Freshman Andres Navarro advanced to CIF. After 3 rounds of 18 holes, he placed 4th out of 33 golfers. He will be playing Monday 5/9 in Long Beach @ Skylinks Golf Course.
